The Process
Vinci Stone is Maryland's premier custom fabricator of the world's most beautiful marbles, granites, limestones, travertines, and other specialty stones. We are built on a simple ideal: you should never have to sacrifice quality for affordability. With the growing popularity of natural stone surfaces, many fabricators have chosen to completely automate the fabrication process. Although this vastly increases their production, even the most sophisticated machines lack the ability to cater to the natural characteristics and variations of each unique piece of stone.
Our unyielding commitment to old world quality, craftsmanship, and detail - balanced with the consistency and reliability of modern technology - allows us to deliver exceptional products and dependable services at affordable prices.

Edge Profiles:
Backsplashes:
Most customers choose a backsplash height of 4 to 6 inches. This "standard" height offers a clean, traditional look that complements the design of most contemporary kitchens. Our backsplashes are typically finished with polished and eased edges (Click Here For "Edge Profiles"), unless an upgraded backsplash edge profile is requested. Also, in order to ensure color and vein match to the best of our ability, backsplashes are cut from the same slab or lot, unless otherwise specified.
In recent years, the Full Height Backsplash (FHBS) option has become increasingly popular. Just as the name denotes, the backsplash fully extends to the bottom of the wall cabinets. In most cases, the thickness of the FHBS is equivalent to that of the main countertops. Cutting backsplashes from the same slab or lot, whether standard or full height, ensures that colors and veining will match as close as possible. Although it is feasible to acquire matching slabs in varying thicknesses, it can substantially increase the overall cost and completion time of the job due to a high material waster factor and special order lead times.
Another option is that of a tiled backsplash. Customers that choose this option typically omit the standard backsplashes altogether.
Aesthetically, most customers prefer that the tile be installed directly down to the countertops. The major complaint in incorporating both styles of backsplash is the sudden transition in thickness between the tiles, which are typically 3/8" thick, to standard backsplashes, which are typically 3cm thick.
It is very important that you know which backsplash option(s) is most suitable to your needs, prior to the scheduled field measure. The templates are cut to reflect the chosen backsplash option, in both size and specifications. Any changes made after the field measure must be made on site, without exception.
Sinks & Faucets:
It is very important that you consider which sink style is most suitable to your needs, prior to requesting a quotation. The sink style that you select can substantially alter the final price of your job as a result of increased labor costs, seam placement/material usage, and/or . Our quotation can only be as accurate as the information that your drawing and/or quote request form provides us.
Proposal:
Our free written quotations are guaranteed for up to thirty (30) days, or until the quoted slabs, or lot, are no longer available. Please keep in mind that we complete quotations on a first come, first serve basis.
For example, a price for Black Galaxy, 3cm (Lot #747) from Supplier A may vary from that of Black Galaxy, 3cm (Lot #989) from Supplier B, C, D, or possibly even that of the original supplier. This is due to the fact that each quotation is based on the price and size of specific slabs, or lot, of stone.Material prices and sizes vary from shipment to shipment. It is very in your best interest that you finalize your selection as close to the time of contract, as possible. Once the proposal is accepted, the price is "locked in." The specified material is then shipped to our fabrication facility, where it is held until your job is ready to proceed.
